Artistic

The other day I received an assignment for our visit to the Argus Leader. I was to interview Robert Morast, the entertainment editor at the Argus Leader newspaper and write a profile on him. That will be another piece, but something he said was very interesting.

Morast interviewed Otep Shamaya, vocalist from the rock band Otep a while ago.

“She’s really cool, very artistic,” Morast said.

He told me about an idea that Otep had for an art piece. He told me that she wanted to put a canvas on the ground with paint and have people step all over it and see what it looks like after one of her concerts.

I thought that was a really good idea. To have the people make the art and show the motions of their feet while they are listening to Otep’s powerful rock.
