Native land reviews

Gas prices today make a dent on a $50 dollar bill with one trip.  This week the only thing that made going to the dentist exciting was the chance to see three communities: Upper Sioux, Lower Sioux, and Prior Lake. The Upper Sioux was the first stop and that campground exploded with fun and adventure.  Then learning that they rent Tipi's at the local state park set my mind racing for what weekend we could free up.  Fear of the dentist had me living on tums the 197 mile drive.  Then, I found a free night at Mystic in the mail and decided my friend needed to see the museum inside and watch channel 18 for history of the Dakota people.Anjula  wanted to load up the bed because it was so comfortable but decided dropping it from the  seventh floor would not be a good idea.  Trying to find a parking spot at Little Six was like looking for change in the lake.  Why?  They are building a new Little Six.  A man laughed.  "I have never seen so many people fight this hard for a parking spot to lose money."  We all laughed.  Then we headed for home and Lower Sioux was near the well rig.  Scott, my husband is working on wells this summer and needed us to bring cold pop to the crew. The well they are working on is 318 feet with really fine filtery sand.  The screen wouldn't stop the fine sand so they ordered a special one.  We hit Jackpot.  Ran into a Tribal Chairmen who noted that on July 20th there will be a hearing on the trust land issue.  They have blocked some rooms for people interested in hearing about the Wolfchild case.  Praire Rose is the band playing this weekend.  Dancing and music two great combinations.  Ricky Nelsons kids are playing at Prior Lake but I missed the upcoming events at Upper Sioux.  That campground called my name.  Now, if Granite Falls had a dance hall.  I would be in heaven.  I miss my friends at AIJI and can't wait to read their articles.  Oh, the tree's are beautifal at all three communities.  The land was green and peaceful.
