My children both have a bad case of the red, rezzy, wind-burned cheeks.
Even Johnson's baby soaps and lotions don't help my children.
Edward was even prescribed Triamcinolone by his pediatrician.
When it seemed that nothing would cure my childrens' chizi cheeks, I found two solutions:
Vaseline and Aveeno baby products.
Vaseline helped even the chiziest of kids. There was a reason I was greased up with Vaseline when I was a child. I remember sweating underneath a thick layer of the grayish goo — it makes me laugh thinking about it.
Today my children have Aveeno, which I highly recommend to other parents. The Aveeno baby creamy wash is pasty and white like the Bake-Rite lard my Mom makes frybread with.
Only Mom's tub of lard is two or three dollars, while five ounces of Aveeno is five dollars!
At that price, maybe I should consider buying a can of lard and putting a glob of it on my childrens' cheeks — I once heard people from home do this, and it works!
My children are probably the chiziest of the city kids. And I'm OK with it.
When Emma admires her shine in the mirror, I flashback to the moment where I, too, looked at my shiny face, happily, years before. I love going back to those moments, and it makes me smile.

Aveeno
Good for you for using Aveeno products on your babies! Egan and I have both suffered from eczema and I refuse to use prescriptions after reading all of the warnings on the labels. We're big fans of the Aveeno products.

Crusty kids
My boys got Eczema and were prescribed a steroid cream but i actually use Mary Kay stuff on them. It's funny but the night emollient creme (pink stuff) works very well. It works super well and it's not heavy and thick, my little fat boy doesn't sweat it all off. It's good stuff.
