Should I stay or should I go?
I’m debating on whether or not to stay in South Dakota for a semester of schooling at the U. It’s free you know.
In early June, I took the choice of staying and was offered an internship at the Associated Press. I’ve covered stories spanning an execution to a fallen hero with my by-line falling in more than 15 newspapers in three states. The experience gained is beyond any of my expectations.
Would this be similar?
It’s been a short time, but the thought of leaving almost seems more drastic then just sticking around in this area that is so familiar now.
Outside of work, being in a new place has been very rewarding also. On a personal level, I’ve never felt better.
I have a list of little accomplishments I try to do; I don’t have it written out or anything, but in my mind it’s just a check. It marks off something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m running out of little things to check off.
I had plans for this fall in Alaska – good plans.
I can pass them up for something great, instead…right?
