Native Blues group airs on Discovery Channel

The blues-rock band "Indigenous" will air on the Discovery Channel Series Deadliest Catch with two hit songs from their latest "Chasing the Sun" CD.  Indigenous will tour the East coast and perform at  the famed "BB King Blues Club & Grill" Friday night, September 28, 2007.  Scott Barta an enrolled member of the Ho-chunk Nation has been touring with the group and highly recommends them.

  • Tell us what you think about the 'Navajobama' T-shirt, and we'll send your comments to the manufacturer—and to the Obama for President campaign. (No profanities, please.)
  • A Native American gay wedding ceremony takes place at a Two Spirit gathering in Montana.
  • Omission disappoints Native Americans attending the presidential candidate's speech in Wisconsin. Others express concern over Obama's stance on Indian gaming.
  • The Native actor’s role on 'Law and Order: SVU' is coming to an end, but he plans to stay busy with an Internet TV show, a book and a new baby.
  • Crows wait in line for more than six hours to hear the Democratic presidential candidate. 'Somebody finally recognized us enough to come an extra few hours,' says one tribal member.
